Kora Green City is the largest Passivhaus accommodation in Europe. Passivhaus is a construction certification that guarantees the sustainability and energy efficiency of a building, in addition to other comfort parameters. Kora Green City has managed to reduce its CO2 emissions by 98% – the equivalent of the yearly purification capacity of a forest of 13,500 trees. In addition, energy consumption has been reduced by 600,000 kWh per year.

Most of Kora Green City’s energy comes from nature. Our best assets are the sun, thanks to our solar panels, aerothermal energy and the heat generated below ground, which we extract using geothermal energy. Did you know that we preheat a large part of the water consumed in Kora Green City using a system of 18 boreholes at a depth of 150 metres?
